Zs are the end of a sequential line in which I stand.
Z is the slice of skin by a thin blade, blood dripping down in oval Os.
Z is N on its side, but expanded, as I look askance.
Zither, once I heard you on a darkened porch.
Zenith, have I reached you yet?
Zero, have I left you behind, or do you still linger in my cells?
Zap, my brain, just not working.
Zip, there’s none left.
Zero, have I left you behind?
Zero, have I left?
Zero, have I

Softball Score

Starting out on first base,
Stealing second on the pitch,
Sliding in at such a fast pace,
Standing up in a glitch.

Smiling over at the team,
She’s safe again reaching third,
Scoring now as everyone screams,
Superior team runs over like a herd.

Zeitgeist of the city, cranes with broken necks
Zephyr blows through, and the tide comes on
Zeal is gone for sweat, salt eats away the steel
Ziggy laughs aimlessly and flashes the past.

slipped away on a summer’s night
shivered awake to fall’s first call
summer I mourn
silent thief steals away another season

Zzzzzz, hisssss, ssss…..

Sound like a snake…

Ziggy, you move like a snake,

Sneaking looking for a quick cash deal

Selling stolen goods, moving like a sneaky snake…

Ssss, zzzzz, hissssss……

Zombies are here

Zombies here, zombies there
Zombie zombie they’re everywhere.
Save yourself, while you can
S*** we should’ve made a better plan.
Zombies to the left, zombies to the right
Zombies everywhere in sight.
Slide in that door, and lock it tight
So the zombies can’t get us tonight.

Zzzzzzzzz can be the most comforting sound
Zzzzzzzzz can be the noise made by a dyslexic bug – BUZZ
Zzzzzzzzz can be at the end of a greeting – HEY CUZZ
Zzzzzzzzz can be the stuff between your toes – GROSS FUZZ
Zzzzzzzzz is best when it is the sound of my babies sleeping.

Sunday’s are for doing
Some work I have not done
Soon it will be too late
So this Sunday won’t be fun
Study for your tests
Submission dates come so fast
Start posting those weekly assignments
So next time you won’t be last

Seanmháthair, I long for you to remember
Such sweet memories that I hold dear.
Sorrow plagues all who know you’ve faded away

Swain Street will forever be in need of your laughter
Swearing on your stoop as you would sweat in the summer sun
Strolling every day to and from the church doors

Side by side, hand in hand
Zipping through cross walks on red
Seanmháthair, I will love you forever

A Zoo you should go

Zoo is a place of fun,
So many animals there to show,
Zebras and other animals in their home,
Sites to see and animals to know,
Zoo is the place where people should go.

see how
so softly
swirls of petals drop as the wind
snatches them from limbs like a greedy lover.

sweet and pink, they are
swollen with breath and promise like the
shadows of color on your cheeks, your lips,
so i
scatter my fingerprints across
the surface and

strive to memorize the velvet feeling:
sink into the crevices where
skin remembers our love.

Zabuton is where I
Sit as I wait for you to come and play
Zaney as you run
Shuffeling your Bischon Blitz
Zafting your body from
Sitting around and eating all day
Zazzy your white coat
Sheen and short
Small and mine
Shall I forever take care of you.

Zero things come to mind.
Since thinking in z’s is not in mind.
Zebra’s dancing is what I think.
Since zebra starts with “z” I think.
Zero things come to mind.
Since thinking comes from the strangest mind.

THe King’s Peace

So I stand here up high, watching the throngs of people

Zigzagging down cobbled streets , amassing below my palace

Zealots and fanatics, all of them. Do they dare defy their king?

Silently I give the command, and the guards empty from the barracks

Zoning in on their targets, they open fire

Zipping through the air, the bullets make their mark

Screams of fear and anguish

Soon as it began, it ended

Sullenly they retreat to their rat-holes until

Zero of them remain out in the open

Seating myself upon my throne, I know that

Safety has been maintained.

Squeak goes the door, he’s here
Slowly the door closes behind him
Shadows on the wall, I’m scared
Shut my eyes until it’s over
Snickers from him because he’s won
Slithers away like the scum of the earth
Sliding tears down my face

Zillions of places to
Study and I choose the
Zig Zag patterns on the
Seating in the ITCC.

Some like the building,
some find the
zest too distracting.
Students, what do you think?

Sleepless nights occur often
Some say I might end up in a coffin
Still I remain on point like a marksman
Sativa running through my lungs but I’m not yet coughing

Zen is a way of life and state of mind
Zack and Zoey are not cut from the same cloth as mine
Survival of the fittest is like a daily grind
Sometimes I feel like I’m trapped or suspended in time

Sarah is playing with the jumprope
Zarah is playing with dolls
Seth is playing basketball and
Zach is trying to find a friend

Sometimes while working in a daycare
Some of the kids look the same
Zero of them forgive you if you mess up their name
Zoos are less crazy then a room full of kids

Submitting something significant.
Somethng more than silly rant.
Zero chance that it will really work.
Zap. There, for one. Something scant.

Senses sharp, numerous thoughts in flux,
Streamed ideas pass by like ducks.
Zane Gray no source to help out this whelp.
Zen, though, might be a little help.

Zoos pull together eclectic mix.
Zebras, pythons and emu chicks.
Such is the creative symphony.
Small parts combine in sympathy.
