Sonnet 106

Shall I compare thee to 107?
Thou art less primely yet more alive:
Instance of open learning heaven,
And so much more than just the number 5;
Sometimes addictive and always so much fun,
But never to be confused with 503;
Or 911, or even 21.
By chance or nature’s changing course made free;
But 53 is prime, yet half of you,
A factor in your greatness and your prime;
A fifty third of you is also 2,
Despite that, you are less than 389:
Oh centred pentagonal number that still sticks,
Why be a prime, you can be 106.
