Back in twenty minutes (not sixty seconds)

Once upon a time there was a girl with a choice.

“Go back in time, you say… what a fantastic idea!” she thought to herself, as she began to think about it.
“20 minutes?!!?” She realized, “that’s like an episode of Gargoyles or something what the hell?”

The girl soon came to the conclusion that whatever she was going to do had to be quick, and maybe simple. “Change or witness something small,” she thought, “aren’t those thing things that are most important?” She sat contented with this conclusion for like ten seconds.

“nah, go big or go home.”

So, she decided, for twenty minutes, that she would go back in time and chat with some Mayan priests to figure out what exactly the Mayan calendar was all about, and whether or not there was actually a City of Gold anywhere on the general continent.

The End.

If I Could Go Back and Change ONE Thing

Well, If I could go back and change ONE thing, it would be a thing that happened many, many years ago when I was working in Hollywood.

I had a feature part in an episode of a famous television series in the sixties, and something happened back then during that time that has kind of haunted me ever since. Not that I let it bother me too much, but still it is a thing that I look upon as a black thing on my career.

It happened when I was filming an episode of “The Twilight Zone.” The episode was Episode 6 from Season 5, and I was the star of it. It was called Living Doll, and like I said, I was the star of it. In it, there is a part near the end, where, without giving away too much, there is an action scene with me in it and kind of the climax of the episode. After that scene and the episode was on TV, I had a kind of sad time for a while. After a bit, I was getting typecast and peoples were saying that I was too short and it was hard for me to get work. I wrote about all of that in my book.

But anyway, the thing that I would change if I could go back and change ONE thing is in that episode and in that part of it what has to become known as “Tina’s famous stairs scene.” It is one of my best work, but there is that one thing I would change.

Watch this clip, and I think you will see what I would change if I could go back and Change ONE Thing.

See?

Well, bye!

The Place where the sand was between my toes and there was no way I could have known

Of what was to come, that is.

But then again, who ever does?

Our legs churned in perfect harmony with the sea as we raced to keep up with each other and the ebbs and flows of our lives.

Time didn’t seem to have a hold on me as I ran with pure glee.

This time though, I would choose to turn back

To see those first rays of sunset shine down on you, bathe you in a glow.

Maybe in that moment you had some sort of know

That somehow in some way, I’d one day Be Okay.

I’d scuttle to a stop to sit amongst the crabs and pat a spot on the soft shore just for you. And we could look out into the blue,

Into the unknown horizons. Simply together.

I know exactly where I would go. I would savor those twenty minutes.

Like they were the Last.

When I lay my head to rest tonight

I’ll be dreaming of our little sandcastle life

Where we’ll never get hurt and never die

And our eyes will refuse to let us cry.

… So grab the shovel and start digging deep,

‘Cause our little sandcastle is all we can keep.

fave dude.

I’d divide the time into twenty, one minute segments and revisit twenty times in my life when I should have just stopped for one whole minute and THOUGHT before making a decision.
“Two roads diverged in a wod…”
It’s the “long I stood” that I should have done more of instead of just charging off down the best looking path at the time.
Either way, no matter what, “That has made all the difference…”

There would be so many things to do, people to visit and places to see when I build my time travel machine. I think mostly I would go back to our sitting room with my Nan and Dad there and ask both of them all about their lives!! Of course 20 minutes would be nowhere near enough. I recently started to record my mum’s stories which are rich and diverse and so different every time, (yes, you hear them more than once and at great length), but they are priceless.

If I could have another trip I’d go back one week before someone won a £Million on the lottery and steal their numbers.
