Somewhere in My Closet, I put them
On, they feel warm. I’m ready to go out into the
Cold and when I’m There They
Keep My Feet Warm, And when I’m done I
Slide them off and put them away

The very coolest clothing,
Essential for the weather, and
Easy to wear.
Soft to touch,
Heavy it’s not,
In every country,
Rain or shine
The favourite of all.

So comfortably enticing and makes me warm…
Want to wear you all day long
Every time I decide to put you on
A merry little song comes along
Today I decided that you’ll be my friend
Each time, this bitter winter creeps in
Red sweater,oh how I love you

Give me tomorrows to google a bay

no one in my life can get me to hush
about you my silly little crush
Youre all bought from different parts of a mall
when i bought you i felt like i would fall
form the sky cause im down from cloud 9.

Shorter on the leg,
Taken in from the heat so dry.
A push and a pull at the thread,
I finally pulled it up my thigh.
Never have they fit so well,
Even in my prime.
Dark washed, oh what the hell,
Please let’s go out to dine.
After all theres nothing wrong with spaghetti and fudge,
No food to hold me back.
Till I forget to put my bib back on,
Saucy mixture’s like blood on the tracks.

Names and faces flashing in a haze
Of noise, of sound–
There’s no sense here, no order.
Metal, pavement, flashes of
Yellow light–
Something, someone, screaming
What happened?
Everything is so dark, so loud
All this noise.
These long white halls.
Each day like the next; white and long.
Remember…

Hours away from home

Rest and time to play
Time will surely fly by
So I’d better enjoy it now

Sweet new pair of shoes,
Perfect size for my feet.
Exciting to own such a lovely pair,
Respectable to say the least.
Restless to show them off,
Yen is not enough to buy them.

Length and fit of this shirt makes me feel like a superhero
On top of my undershirt with the weather and all
Not my favorite but it keeps me warm
Guess that’s what counts
Sweaterless today, this was all I needed
Late for class today, ironed this shirt
Either way I wasn’t making it for 10am
Entered the class a little lost
‘Ventually caught up to the rest of the class though
Eavesdropping on other was how I caught up
Super excited for my next class!

such a hassle to put pants on,
when did it become lazy to wear these?
especially during foggy days,
always being watched,
this is the only clean thing i have!
pants?! jeans!? you’re crazy!
already missing the loose comfort of them,
no! i must slip back into the grey cotton,
this should be illegal,
seems as if you’re torturing me.

Take time to wake up and smell the roses
Rouse out of bed, and smell the morning dew
Out of the bedroom grab a cup of Joe
Under the snow your car waits
Settle on an outfit to keep you warm
Extra coffee for a sleepy head
Rest assured you are not alone
Snooze, well maybe i’ll get up in 15 minutes ZzzZZzzZ

Cold weather means you have to dress warmer
Leave out the shorts and slippers for Summer
Often outside can feel very chilly
Take time to layer up don’t be silly
Have a coffee don’t spill on that shirt
In getting stains out of pants will also be work
No need to whine about cold in your Burberry
Go on out winter shoes will soon be a memory.

Or even in the middle of summer

Over my head, I bring you down

Done feeling the chill

In your arms I feel most comfortable

Every time I wear you, my dear hoodie.

HIGH SOCKS

How warm it is to wear these
Interesting, thick, and colorful socks.
Growing up, I use to
Hate socks like these

Sure enough,
Over the years, I grew to think that they were
Cool! It completes its purpose of warmth, and gives my style an extra
Kick! I can wear high boots with them, wear them as leg warmers under my jeans, and
Sit around, comfortably, as I type up an acrostic poem about them!

Sometimes I run around at night
Looking for my favorite spot
Inside my vast, expanded room.
Perhaps I find something new there,
Perhaps my wit will make novel
End; smooth death from a charging goat,
Rabid tigers, leaping badgers–
Sweet dreams for the daft padded room.

Condensation
On your chin
Laughing, reaching for the

Circled around my finger a
Large band of white gold.
Adorned with a large
Stone. White in color
Sparkling in the light.

Relic of an era gone by
I wear my ring with pride.
Now that I am about to
Graduate, it means even more to me.

Bored of simply bringing bakery crumbs and mud home to my carpet, they
open at the heel and toes, stretching into wider holes so they can shout
offerings at rain puddles: “Hey come meet these socks!”
They have grown old and mischievous —
shoe-repair guy said they were hopeless.

Leaves no flexibilty,

Never seems to help
To heal anything anyway.

Binding it back.
Often missing one, a
Bizarre hair or two escapes.
Buns with wispy bits like
Yarn in the grasp of a lobster.

Pronged and at the ready.
Inter-weaved in my hair,
Notice the hold.

Cold Winter weather is here today,
Other than work, inside is where I will stay.
Running, drinking hot cocoa, or shaking,
Doesn’t help me from cold aching.
Unless I wear my warmest clothes,
Rather than something that shows my toes.
Oh, Winter, I love you so,
You caught that sarcasm, no?
Sounds like Corduroys is the way to go!

Slinky, poofy, tight, fun to spin around in – they vary quite a bit
Kids (mostly girls) go through phases of loving the symbol of their gender
I was a determined tomboy so I refused to wear them
Right up until I was twenty-four I was a pants-wearing girl
Then I joined a business casual workplace

Bothersome really, is how I would describe it.
On any other day I wouldn’t mind bundling myself up to brave the elements,
Only today is different; darker, drearier, more melancholy;
Tomorrow would be fine, yesterday even better, but there’s something about Monday.
Something that doesn’t encourage me to shovel cheerfully.

Something is under my bed.
Hiding away, waiting patiently.
It can’t give itself away…
Rather, it waits for me to run out of other options.
Tonight, I do the laundry.
